Questions hosts ask
Do I need to buy hardware?
No. Guest WiFi runs on the UniFi access points and gateway you already own. You invite our service account to your controller, and everything else happens from your Tabellara dashboard. There is nothing to install at the property and nothing to ship.
How many access points can one network use?
As many as you have. Pricing is per WiFi network, not per access point, so a large property with six access points broadcasting one guest network pays for exactly one network.
What do guests see?
The first time they join your guest WiFi, a sign-in page appears with your property's name, photo, and colors. They enter a name and email, tap Connect, and land in your guidebook. After that they stay connected for 30 days without signing in again.
What happens to the emails?
Every sign-in becomes a contact on your account: name, email, and which property they stayed at, with a marketing consent checkbox whose exact wording is recorded per signup. Export them any time; they are yours.
Does it work with my smart home devices?
Yes, because they never touch it. Guest WiFi runs on your guest network, and the setup flow warns you before putting a sign-in page on any network that has smart home devices on it, so thermostats, cameras, and TVs stay online exactly as they are.
What if a guest doesn't see the sign-in page?
On the rare phone where the automatic sign-in screen doesn't appear, opening any website brings it up. Guests who have already signed in reconnect silently for 30 days.
